The wedding of Martin and Beth took place at Boughrood Church followed by a reception at Llangoed Hall in Brecon. Despite torrential rain and storm-force winds, Andrew Hazard captured their day using a documentary style that focused on natural, spontaneous moments and the atmospheric beauty of the Brecon Beacons.

Absolutely. As seen in Martin and Beth’s wedding, the interior of Llangoed Hall offers stunning natural light through large windows and cozy, oak-paneled rooms that work perfectly for portraits when the weather doesn't cooperate.
They are incredibly close - less than a 5-minute drive apart. This makes it a seamless transition for guests and ensures more time for photography and celebration.
My approach is documentary-led. I focus on the atmospheric beauty and the spontaneous, cozy moments indoors. If there is a break in the clouds, we head out quickly for those iconic Brecon Beacons landscapes, but the priority is always the couple's comfort.
For larger guest lists, a marquee on the lawn (like the one used by Martin and Beth) is a fantastic way to maximize space while still enjoying the views of the Wye Valley, regardless of the wind or rain.
